Greece is always a good idea if you ask me, and even a greater one when its just a bit after the hot season, when most of the summer travellers are back home and you can experience the greek life in it’s best. the weather is still fabulous and the beaches are not so crowded so you can get that tanning bed you want.
If you chose the island of Rhodes make sure NOT to miss the folowing spots:
Even if it’s not your first time on the island, Lindos is THE spot.
beautiful white houses and small streets that makes you feel the real authentic greek life, gorgeouses cafe’s and small taverna’s alongside fashionable resturants and bars.
At the top of the village you’ll find the amazing archaeological site ACROPOLIS, the best view you can get in the island is waiting for you after climbing all the way to the top.
2| ST. PAUL BAY
This magical spot is my favorite on the island. after going down from the Acropolis this is the place to get a cold Ouzo or Mojito, grab a little snack in the beautiful snack bar that watches the bay, relax, and enjoy the good life.
Needless to say, swimming in clear water is a must.
3| MANOLIS TAVERNA
The best restaurant in the island is in Faliraki. Trust me! I know what I’m talking about…
After trying so many Tavernas on the island I can say for sure!
It’s not just because of their exaggerating deliciously Musaka which melts in your mouth,
All the dishes are so fresh and yummy that there’s a high chance you’ll turn this place into your permanent restaurant during the trip. you must book a table unless you want to spend a couple of hours waiting for a table…
Apollonos, Faliraki 851 00
4| ROHDES OLD TOWN
Exploring the old town of rhodes by night is the best option. the streets are beautiful and you can find a lot of cool bars and places to seat and relax. you’ll find beautiful shops and small boutiqes.
Need some sugar in your veins? here you’ll find the best ice-cream, that almost makes you feel like you’re in Italy. prepare yourself to the ” I can’t decide which flavour i want” mode
Personaly my favorite was the Pistachio and salted caramel…
